Visit The World of Narnia

In line with the release of the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe on Dec. 22, Focus on the Family(Singapore) has put together an event called The World of Narnia.

From Dec. 17 - 24 and from 12 to 9pm on these days, a carnival of assorted Narnia events will be held at Orchard Turn - the patch of grass beside Orchard MRT station and opposite Wheelock Place.

At the Narnia Market, you can find nice Narnia accessories like notebooks, colour pencil sets and the actual books written by C.S Lewis.

If you are already thinking of buying the full series of books, please go down and buy from them because some sponsors have pulled out and Focus needs to recuperate more than S$100k in operating costs. The goods are not on consignment - meaning they cannot be returned to the suppliers.

There are also hourly dance performances by dancers from St John's-St Margaret's Church and ongoing quizzes for children at the main tent.

There is also an interactive drama tour of the story on site, which costs $3 per person and $10 for 4 people. This is good for people like me who have no idea what Narnia is all about, because it gives you a good idea what the story is about. Not only good for families with kids, but also for groups of friends.
