now for the mad mug to be happening!

i just handed up my final term paper for this semester. it took me all of last night to finish it. it's not good that i do things last minute i know, but i only chanced upon the thesis statement for this essay when i was helping andrew with his gp package readings on sunday just before the bbq. but then again i kindda resolved not to finish essays at the last minute like this last semester too.

the paper was on the asian family and the youth biker subculture in "eating air" and it was basically an essay on how the movie "eating air" shows the basic family unit, that is so paramount in lee kuan yew's notion of asian values, to be in decline in singapore society. that basically the agents of the biker youth subculture are forced out of their homes by their dysfunctional families to seek solace outside of their homes among their peers.

oh i am so happy i got it away and done with...

the essays are finally done
now we're all prepared for numb
nights of research and online chats are over
now to welcome the dreaded finals

no more sitting and staring at blank screens
no more planning and writing and fretting
now for spotting and mugging and mugging
now for the mad mug to be happening!

oh well. onto the strategic planning for the launch of operation mad mug. and pray for my job application to do social research at the ministry of community and youth development to come through. my holidays sound so exciting already!
