the day i tried to tune my guitar

after nearly seven years since i last restrung and tuned my guitar, i attempted the mammoth feat again last night -- and the first and the sixth strings snapped unexpectedly.

the extent of my incompetence was reflected with overwhelming gusto when i thought the sixth string was supposed to be tuned to a G -- it's supposed to be D-key, and i did not realise it until i was so frustrated i called napks dude to ask.

ah. now for a new set of strings which i asked mom to buy since she works near plaza singapura. i hope she gets the right brand. ugh.

in other news, i have been assigned to be a defending officer for a court martial case. which is asking me to be a defence attorney without the training. blah! now i have to go down to detention barracks to record the defendant's statement and be present in court on tuesday. i hope the amount of work doesn't ruin my long weekend this week. *sigh*

in today's a-thank-you-a-day-keeps-the-demons-at-bay series, thank GOD for getting me started on the guitar again.
