when it's best between you and Him
sure. it's good to have different people give you their two cents worth. maybe talking to friends about your problems. having someone to listen would be good for you -- since you would have an outlet. but of course, you risk treating your friends as your punching bag. which explains why i am so wary of talking to people about this dilemma i have right now. this issue that is dominating my entire being.
i want to learn from mistakes. and choose the people i want to talk to. there are some people you may want to talk to about everything, but at the same time you acknowledge that that person's perspective would throw you off, because he/she looks at things not from your perspective, so things may get thrown out of context. on the other hand, it's good to have an external person to adopt a more objective point of view that you were blind to see coz' you lacked the foresight and were blinded by the emotions you were harbouring. but sometimes you wonder how important having differential perspectives is actually to yourself.
but there are also some things people can tell you universal truths that you already know. that when you require a higher order answer that nobody can give. you realise that it's only best when you run back to Him. yes, Him. the one above all else. God.
you hear about people turning to everyone, and all things else when they need help. and come to God last. i hear about it and talk about it sometimes myself. and now i realised that i am turning to finite human beings for advice before seeking the ultimate one.
when the person to talk to is just right before us, it baffles. never fails to amaze me. that people. me included. that we can go to great lengths to seek finite beings. instead of the infinite one. the one with the answer. the one who can help us seek that ultimate closure.
when it's just between you and Him, there's no need for differential perspectives. because His is all that matters. it's that simple.
