qantas is selling tickets to brisbane for about 500 bucks, minus taxes till tuesday. and i am agonising whether to go down under as i originally planned to. the money for the air ticket shouldn't be a problem, but the money for expenditure there may potentially be.
the problem is an old one. when i was planning to go to brisbane in early 2004 for the planetshakers conference, i received news of dad's impending retrenchment and decided to save the money up by not going. now, just as i am making plans to pay kelvin mok and jinghui a visit in july and have a break before school starts again, mom just told me dad's last day of work in this job he got last year is at the end of this month.
yes. talk about getting a sense of deja vu. on my birthday at that.
and so my plans are thrown into disarray now. my spending money is brisbane depends on how much i get from holiday work. besides, i am thinking i should not even bother going, because i reckon i should be saving the money earned from holiday work. simply put, while the trip would be nice to have, it is not a necessity right now. it's just like the whip cream on top of the latte that i don't need to have.
but i really need a holiday right now. at least before the new academic year starts again. i just need to get away for a while to just retreat and recharge. guess that iPod mini and canon digital camera both have to wait for a while longer yet. UGH!
bah! i think i'm never meant to be visiting australia. ever.
