pet peeves

studying in the library for the last month or so has alerted me to my pet peeves. here are some of them in no particular order of preference.

1. those not-cool-but-act-until-so-cool jocks -- wrong, make that pseudo jocks who are in the library not to mug, but to people watch and try to well...act cool. the guys will hang out where everybody is pouring over the books, and making passes at girls and so obviously checking them up from head to toe. the girls...well, just make a fool of themselves.

2. the cool people who shuttle from table to table in their colonies, pretending to study and making noise that seems to be telling everyone on the sixth floor that they are THE cool bunch. and how they look at everyone with that sneering eye and size people up for their cool-factor once they walk past their colony to get to the loo or something.

3. girlfriend who place their heads on their boyfriend's shoulders...and her hand fondling his urm...oh, you know what.

4. people from you-know-where who do not change their socks/tops/sweaters and stink the whole place up with their body odour.

5. pesty librarians who do not let people bring in snacks bought from co-op and make these poor stressed out souls either throw them away or finish them on the spot before they let them in.

oh well, i think that's about it. i'll keep my ears and eyes open for more interesting things to blog when i get to the library tomorrow.

meanwhile, go check out tomorrow.sg, bulletin of singapore bloggers. it sounds quite promising and serves as an alternate news source other than ahem, da straight times and urm, tau-dey.
