seated here contemplating
it's right behind
it's there for the taking
but thou contemplates.

an affirmation that affirms now
but hurt later
a poisoned affirmation
a chalice once engaged
condemns.

so it's pain one has to settle for
although the tempest's getting better
and it is not so difficult to cope now
reckon it's all about getting used to pain.

don't know what holds later.
tomorrow even.
it could spell the end.

but fatigue blocks.
it's mind numbing.
