my sister is whining the whole time since she got back earlier this evening. she went to get her hair cut and even though i think her new look is so much fresher, she's just calling everyone to whine about how the hairdresser messed up her hair. and her whining is getting on my nerves.
maybe that's what staying at home for the last three days does to your mental system.
even the minor stuff gets me all cranky. doing nothing but mindlessly staring at the computer screen playing football manager 2005 -- the new version of the beloved championship manager series. and by doing so, i am leaving all the important things like the editing for the magazine i am supposed to get up and running by year's end and preparing for auditions.
but i am sick. went to see the doctor yesterday. my throat is kindda stuffy and the phlegm production is in overdrive. doc said it is a case of virus. told me to stay away from crowds for the next few days. drink up and sleep up. sleep builds up the body's natural resistance. ah. maybe that's why i got sick up there at cameron highlands -- i had so little to sleep.
in other news, sara reminded me to continue the good work God restarted at anntic. honestly, i feel strangely displaced after the camp. last week, it was all God 24/7 and honestly i felt so good and refreshed. this week, i am sick and not making any attempt at kick starting my quiet time machinery with God one more time. and it's so important to read the Bible everyday. i should really get started on c.s lewis mere christianity. to be in this world, yet not of this world is so difficult. especially when tis the time where the default sloth kicks in all too easily.
meanwhile, i have got to spin up a monologue and a song for my musical audition tmr in school. too lazy to go memorise hamlet's lines, so i'll just invent my lines to go with the song i have in mind. i just hope i don't forget my lyrics again like that last time.
