five things that happened since the singapore idol final on wednesday.

1. taufik triumphed against all odds. or should i said he deservedly won -- his rendition of me and mrs jones was so good it gave everyone the goosebumps. but it's an empty win. in today's edition of the new paper, there is a reported outcry over the lack of transparency with the competition results. at the post-final press conference, it was announced that that ah-beng gets the same one-year bmg contract as the winner -- making the whole contest a greater farce than it already is.

2. i cut my hair! hua hui said i look "30% better" with my hair done like this. i got a cut, wash and styling all at only 13 dollars. this good deal is available in a cool environment of ben hairdressing, tucked somewhere in clementi avenue 3 -- away from the main clementi central area.

3. did my christmas shopping. yup. decided to really beat the crowd this year. bought clothes from zara and my usual marks and spencer's cards.

4. discovered the beauty of g-star raw jeans while out shopping with jinghui. but the one i set my eyes on costs a cool 300 bucks. i retreated into my pauper's shell.

5. witnessed the rare appearance of steven tan's boogieboy personna. while one liner played a a rare house accoustic gig at sue-anne's for her 21st birthday party, steven tan boogied to you're too good to be true --he did everything except strip. it was hilarious seeing his crazy side. it was super-duper hilarious. and the video-cam had to run of battery before this. steven's my cell leader by the way.

oh well. i am heading out to cameron highlands right about now for a week. it's the varsity christian fellowship annual teach-in-camp otherwise known as the antic camp.
