simple november joys

i like sitting in the law library, staring out of that massive glass window and into the forested area that is beyond. it's so therupatic. especially when there're thunderstorms and there're lightning streaks. i feel so close to nature, yet not subjected to its wrath out there.

i love eating the western food at bizad canteen at 2pm, away from the maddening lunch crowd, with the cool breeze blowing in my face. with my chicken chop with spaghetti and hot tea to boot, i like being able to take my time.

on wednesdays, when it's too crowded at the arts canteen, i'll pack cabonara and an apple juice and sit along the corridor of as5 and enjoy the solitude away from the oily confines of the deck -- with its heaven, purgatory, hell at al. all before the intense literature tutorial that follows.

it's november already.

i called samuel, kevin, black edwin and ben to check out how they were. these boys just started their o levels today. four different dudes, yet their predicaments couldn't have been more different. two years ago, when i was teaching the first three punks i just mentioned, things were quite different. reminded me of my very own history of a time not too long ago.

my first semester back in school is coming to a close. it's seventeen more days to my first paper and twenty-three to my term break. oh man. i am smelling it already.

it's so surreal really. it's like the one week that is my exam period is like the berlin wall that stands between me and my well-deserved one-month break.

i finally finished my literature paper, so i am left with my sense paper and writing paper three. i am going to finish everything by this weekend, so i can start studying next week.

i just need to keep my head down and keep working.
