after 5 visits to the notebook co-op centre at mpsh in nus, i finally got my laptop loan and order settled. i decided on an ibm thinkpad t42 in the end because i was bought over by its promise of durability. my first choice would always be the iBook followed by the chio fujitsu 7010, but i decided that if i was going to be using my mom's money, i had to be accountable and prudent. the ibm would cost me just under 3k, while all others combined more than that, so that's where i draw the line.
well, you can probably tell that i am not too happy with my decision, but i got to live with it. ah well, when i get my own money, i'll buy myself a super chio laptop, wrong, make that an iBook!
