ian says

over a late afternoon snack yesterday before sociology lecture, i made a casual remark -- can you imagine what it would be like if i had followed my heart and went to la salle to do drama after O levels. to which ian answered -- no, because the path i have taken is a path that has been paved by God for me. so in a way, it is perhaps the only way.

i was taken aback at the clarity of his reply.

ian was quite surprised at my reaction. this may be something i know too well, but there was something about the way ian said it that made me realise that i should stop wondering whether being on the usp is something i should be doing at all and just start doing what is required of me.

it was like God answering my question through ian's words.

anyway, i slept throught the whole evening yesterday, missing my split second side profile stab at fame on episode 2 of singapore idol. i woke up at 12mn and found 8 messages on my mobile -- and they were all asking me if it was me on the show. amazingly, i forgot about it and slept through it all.

actually i slept through it all because i intended to whack my readings and tutorials through the night. i ended up not doing much because i was bitching with my sister about our time as freshmen so far and spent too much time trying to reformat my notes i downloaded, so that it won't waste too much printing ink and is readable. way too many diagrams. and there were the olympic games soccer matches on television.

hmm. maybe i should work at normal hours instead. bah.

restarting the occasional a-thank-you-a-day-keeps-the-demons-at-bay series, thank God for bringing friends in school. who totally share my passion for literature and all things academic. because that would make my tutorial and project life so much easier. now pray that i would be able to get the same tutorial time slots as them.
