the french dilemma

i got rejected by the french elective programme at nus last week. i just received an email from them again, offering me a place on the programme now that they have vacancies opened.

i am at a lost.

on one hand, taking french is something i would like to do.

yet on the other, there are other practical considerations. like how i have to commit to the whole programme. that i have to and can only go for the exchange programme to france.

like how the 4 modules would eat into the 5 unrestricted elective modules i have to spare. meaning that i have to choose and cannot do all of a basket of subjects like philosophy, political science and psychology.

like how i would have a 6 to 8pm class for at least a day in the week. and how it will eat into my schedule and possibly overload my first semester back in school after 2 years.

i have got till monday 12noon to make a decision. to french or not to french -- that's the question.
