the replacement
my dad bought me a new phone. it's a nokia 6100 to replace the one i lost. i am still thinking of whether to pay him back. i asked him if it's possible for him to go down to the shop selling it at the cheaper rate i saw in the ad a few days ago. because i didn't think i would have the time to go down and i really needed a new phone. my 8210 was dying on me.
and then he bought it for me saturday. he didn't pressed me to pay. so i think i am going to bid my time until he presses me for it. =)
in other news, i have stopped reading the papers on a regular basis. i used to make it a point to read no matter how busy i was, but flipping the papers today again, i am reminded of why i stopped something i have been doing since i was five.
the situation in iraq, the americans' sense of snobbery, the african crisis, the problematic middle east. how the jews bombed to death the spiritual leader of the palestinian militant group known as hamas. it's inane how beckham's fidelity is spinning out of control. i half suspect he started this whole circus himself. so much for the mantra -- no publicity is bad publicity.
and so now if ever, i stick to just the Life! section and the sports section. and maybe some home news. and the forum and analysis sections. things that are not so depressing and repetitive. people are just fighting. and fighting. and fighting. no end to this madness.
oh. i also am shortlisted for the university scholars programme. my interview is due soon. now i got to start gathering evidence of my singular special talent. sheesh.
