back to my old ways
the one thing that i dread most happened today.
ladies and gentlemen, i have lost my handphone for the first time since i got connected to the mobile world in 2000.
i felt so disoriented. so lost. i felt so lost for that split second. that sinking feeling. hated it. totally.
yes. i dropped it in the cab i took to work this morning. i found out 10 minutes after i got off the cab, but when i tried to call my mobile, it was already switched off. i knew at that point in time, the nokia 6100 i got at a bargain price of 150 was gone for good.
leaving me to cope with the burden of the 2-year contract i signed in order to get that good price.
i procrastinated so long about getting a new phone. but when i did, it's gone in less than 2 months. talk about the little ironies of life.
now all those precious contacts i accumulated over the years. i think i have next to 300 numbers in that phone at least. ugh. and it had to come so near to easter. i intended to get some of you to go somewhere. to do something. yeah.
so now it's back to my trusty nokia 8210 for the next 10 months at least. when one year is up, and i can upgrade my mobile handset again.
ah well. my birthday's on the 30th of april. so i think i will wait out. just in case anybody decided to do something out of the ordinary. and buy me a new phone. if that person is you. either another nokia 6100 or a t610 would suffice.
dreams. sweet dreams are made of these. ah.
this is sure one thing from the past i don't want to be stuck with. blah.
