the cost of following jesus

this thing about the cost of following jesus. was just reminded this past week to tell people the truth when talking about christianity and not paint dainty pictures for them. that it's really more than just depending on God to fulfill our needs, that it's really about following Him. to be his disciples. to learn his ways. pastor daniel aptly puts it -- we are christians. and the word christian means little christs. so i reckon we are supposed to be Jesus' mini me. austin powers or otherwise.

i am going on a mini retreat from monday to wednesday. attending the snergiz youth conference at downtown east. planetshakers would be the worship band in attendance. totally looking forward to just reading the Bible by the pool at night.

in other news, i am still in shock at how man utd just capitulated against man city. my beloved red devils just got thrashed 01 x jia lat jia lat. four-one's the score. and it's just inane. soccer just defeats all sensibility some times. ugh.
