sorry mom

sorry mom i yelled at you.
i know you can't possibly have given me
what you didn't have in you.
yet i still let loose.
yet i allowed my tongue
to spill words to hurt you.
nothing could excuse me.
not even my frustration.
not even your attitudes towards Him.

but mom
i need you to know
that when i serve Him
i serve you as well.
there can be no God versus mom situation.
because the Bible
says to honour our parents.
