the deed is done

and so my brisbane trip is no more. just called dynasty ticketing department to cancel my reservation. i would rather forego aud 50 than to forego sgd2500. at this point in time, while i need a break, this trip would be sheer luxury. the money can be better spent on something else. it's better anyway to have some spare cash in reserves.

was a difficult decision to make. since this is a trip that i have been raving about and looking forward to in ages. but GOD has been giving me signs here and there, hinting to me that this trip would be best taken later. the sudden realisation 6 months ago that i have to start saving, the realisation that i needed to stop buying so many things and spending so much, the things i had to go through to get my air ticket, that even then i'm still on the waiting list for my malaysian airlines ticket, that kelvin decides not to continue with the summer school that he has already started, and now my dad's retrenchment. all that adds up i suppose, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that i'm a pauper's son and so this trip would be a luxury. a luxury that i can ill afford. at least for now.
