syncretism
over the weekend, pastor daniel talked about a sobering topic -- that of "correct" spirituality. he talked of how we all have a 'spirituality' but that does not mean it is 'correct' before God. we may have the same faith, but is our faith what we want to hear or what God wants to tell us?
pastor daniel also reminded us of how our apathy and ignorance cannot be used to account for disobedience. that we cannot be in genuine worship on sunday when from monday to saturday, we hardly come into communion with God. in worship, we may 'feel good', but then the worship is only acceptable by us, is it ok in God's eyes?
pastor daniel rounded off his sermon on saturday with a challenge -- for christians to voice out our point of view. because not speaking out is tentamount to tacid approval.
i think the word 'amazing' does not totally encapsulate the extent of my awe when i heard those words. He really does has His way of getting his message across.
