the way we are
tempstous desire
yet so very forbidden
it's of human yearnings
so not divine.
so very long
so repeatedly it strikes
yet the mule in us
persists the might.
like alcohol
it provokes the desire
and takes away the pleasure.
yet aplenty we down.
the due temporal retreat
that greets us with glee.
as we succumb to
the way we are.
