internet-initis

ugh. i feel so disconnected from the world at large. my home computer hangs once every 10 minutes. i can't blog. chat on msn. do research. or even blog like i usually do.

it's surreal. because it then makes you wonder how come the internet has become such an integral part of my life when it didn't even exist in my life before? come to think of it. it has been 8 years since i got connected online. and i think i have wasted half of that time online.

i need to get myself a new computer. exclusively for my own use. but the thing that is holding me backis the cash. yes. i have been saving up specifically for this purpose. but the thought of having zero cent in my savings account after wiping it bare for a new computer is holding me back.

maybe taking up a student's laptop loan in NUS is a financially more viable option since it would not wipe out my entire supply of liquid currency.

in other news, my youngest sister's ability to memorise every single advertisement jingles is simply amazing. period.
