reflections
over the next few days, you will be reading my review for the year. i have yet to organise what i am going to be posting, but be sure that there will be a david letterman styled top 10 list or lists somewhere. and then about the lessons learnt for 2003. also the committments i am going to make for 2004. and a vision for the new year.
i felt God appealing to me to take some time out later today to take some time out to spend some time alone with Him. i have been guilty of not doing that for quite a while, and today while at kelvin's place attending a care group comprising people from hope brisbane, it dawned upon me that i haven't gone back to Him to seek His will for the new year. i am so excited about the mini jaunt with God tomorrow. but as a result, i am going to have to put off meeting andrew over dinner and other dinner plans as well. think the last week or two have been endless lunch meetings after another. so i also do need a rest. and nothing quite beats being able to rest in Him.
anyway, being amongst just a sample of people from hope brisbane, i finally understood what the fuss is all about. their fervour, their passion for God, their committment to seeing through the Great Commission. they are on fire. and just being there among them, i could sense their excitement. their new year would be one of starting a new service. which is like starting a new church for them. and their hearts. their unity. their common vision. so palapable. so refreshing.
