practice makes perfect
i am getting better at this no? maybe because it's made easier because of the bad financial situation i am in this month. but i decided that i shouldn't accept locke's invite to velvet on wednesday night.
i really wanted to go. but there was this intangible sense of reluctance to go. and i reckoned if i wasn't in a total peace of mind to party, i really shouldn't waste money and time. perhaps there were other reasons which i cannot articulate? perhaps.
anyway, when i made the decision late on tuesday night, i never expected migraine to strike on wednesday morning. ugh. had to stay home. the stupid drilling in the flat above mine made me so irritable coz i just couldn't sleep. the damn noise.
today after work, i went out with the five of them -- ah ben, yong ming, yuan jing, jin xian and kelvin -- for dinner and LAN gaming. rediscovered the joys of playing computer games. it's really amazing how people can click this easily. i wonder too -- is their outward acceptance and careless mingling due to genuine acceptance? i reckon judgement is always part of the status quo, but is it a dangerous type of judgement? ah well. i think i'll not think so much and enjoy their company while it lasts. because it's not going to last very long -- my course ends next friday. and i am not exactly looking forward to having to deal with unrealistic expectations, an thoroughly incompetent chief clerk, a lousy boss and office politics. ah. that for later i guess.
and oh. brian's back for the term break. welcome back brother!
