hey ho, what a bloody way to die

i was just watching episode nine of band of brothers late last night. it's the episode that the easy company stumbles upon a concentration camp and find mangled bodies of jews all over. only then did it hit me that the germans were victims in the war too. and that some of them were unwittingly dragged into the drudgery of war. that they hardly had any choice.

choice.

what is choice? is choice even good for us? with choice, comes consequences. when we make choices, do we make informed choices? and sometimes, when we are spoilt for choices, alternatives are actually there for the sake of being there. or in most situations, the only choice is that of Hobson's choice.
